Some of our work
Clarity Global works with Absa, one of Africa’s largest financial services companies, to communicate clearly and consistently with its employees and other stakeholders. The scope and significance of our work has increased as we have added more value in an integrated way across the business.
Our support for Absa includes:
- Advising on communications strategy
- Writing and editing speeches and thought leadership pieces
- Producing internal communications, including articles, emails and speaking notes
- Editing internal policies, standards and guides
- Training employees in clear communication at all levels of the business.
In collaboration with the Absa team, we have been able to identify communications challenges in the business and develop solutions to address these issues. One such initiative was to produce a language guide that is being rolled out across the bank. With large-scale shifts in its ownership, leadership and strategy, Absa employees rely on clear communication for internal accountability and transparency. Clarity Global is a crucial partner in realising Absa’s commitment to clear communication.

Clarity Global has provided strategic communications support to the National Treasury for the past 15 years. We have edited South Africa’s national budget documentation (the Budget Review and the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement) since 2005, along with a broad range of other publications, including annual reports, strategic plans and discussion documents. Our team has conducted clear writing training for hundreds of Treasury officials.
We have helped the National Treasury communicate its ideas with clarity, simplicity and integrity. Our work includes providing strategic advisory services to strengthen the impact and sharpen the focus of the department’s communications and publications. These efforts have contributed to the high standard of National Treasury materials: South Africa is currently ranked first, tied with New Zealand, in the International Budget Partnership’s Open Budget Survey, which measures the transparency of budget processes.

Clarity Global has been assisting the World Bank Group with clear communication for nearly a decade. As an international financial institution committed to sustainable development, an important part of the World Bank’s work is to communicate the role it plays in society. We have worked with the International Finance Corporation, the 2030 Water Resources Group, the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition and a range of other programmes within the Bank. Much of our support is about ensuring that technical information is communicated clearly, in a unified voice, and is visually compelling. Our deep understanding of developments and context on the African continent is invaluable, because Africa is a key focus area for the World Bank.
From infographics and posters to technical economic papers and development impact reports, Clarity Global has ensured World Bank communications are clear, accessible and engaging.
